How do you like them Caramel Apples?!

At Rice Fruit Company, we consider ourselves connoisseurs of all things apple. So, when this year’s fall flavor trends listed caramel apple as one of the top fall flavors, we were all over it! Typically, the traditional caramel apple is a tart apple like a Granny Smith or Pink Lady, covered in a decadent, buttery caramel. Don’t forget the toppings!

We got busy creating a collection of recipes that capture the nostalgic flavors of a fall festival, but with a modern twist.

First up, it’s our Crumbl cookie dupe. Made from a cake mix, these cookies are decadent, soft, and bursting with that caramel apple flavor. The best part, these cookies can stand alone as a mini ‘thinking of you,’ treat or be brought as a batch to the big game watch party.

Caramel Apple Crumbl (dupe) Cookies

Caramel Apple Pudding Parfait

Ingredients:

Crushed graham cracker of choice

Pudding or custard

Chopped tart apples

Caramel sauce or syrup- we love Hershey’s!

Directions:

Layer graham crackers, pudding, chopped apples, and caramel sauce. Repeat until your serving dish is about 80% filled. Top with whipped cream if desired.

Caramel Apple Shortbread Bars

Caramel Apple Pops

Ingredients:

Round apple slices

Caramels of choice for melting

Sprinkles, nuts, candies- you choose!

Directions:

Slice tart apples into ¼” to ½” circles. Dip in lemon juice mixture if you’ve got a lot to do and don’t want them to brown.

Dry apples completely.

Add wooden sticks- found in the coffee aisle.

Melt caramels down to a consistency slightly thicker than syrup. Mixing a tsp of coconut oil will help.

Dip the apple pieces into the caramel mixture and set on parchment paper to cool/set.

Decorate with whatever festive sprinkles/toppings you’d like!

This October, we’re in our ‘Apple Era,’ and we hope you are too. Happy Eating!
